                                    25MEASURES AT HOME Questions are importantQuestions such as %u201cHow was your school day?%u201d or %u201cHow did it go at school?%u201d are everyday questions but have an important purpose, providing information about the student%u2019s day at school, their feelings and mood, and their relationships with others. These kinds of questions also show that parents or guardians are interested in the child%u2019s life at school. They can also serve as an opening for a discussion about possi-ble challenges related to social interactions.The next time you ask about school, don%u2019t settle for a short, standard answer of %u201cjust fine%u201d or %u201cOK,%u201d but allow more time for discussing the topic in peace. In addition to words, it is worth %u201clistening%u201d to emotions, tone of voice, facial expressions, gestures, and body positions. The goal is not to interrogate, but to have a dialogue in which both sides exchange information about the day%u2019s events. It is worth asking questions that cannot be answered briefly with a one-word yes or no.The following questions can lead to the topic:%u2022What was the best or worst thing that happened at school today?%u2022Who were you with at school today?
