20HOW TO NOTICE IF MY CHILD IS BEING BULLIED?Change in behavior compared to the pastIt is often essential to notice a change in a child%u2019s behavior. For example, if a child who previously had a positive attitude towards school becomes school-averse, it is good to be alert and monitor the situation more closely and consider what might have caused this change. Bringing up the matter is the clearest and most direct way. However, it should be kept in mind that a child or adolescent may not necessarily be willing to tell their parents or guardians about the situation. Therefore, a respectful way of speaking to the child and supporting them are important preconditions for a successful discussion. Contacting the class teacher or the school%u2019s anti-bullying team may also be necessary.
