Keeping quiet only prolongs the bullied student%u2019s suffering.%u2022If your child goes to a KiVa school, tell them about the KiVa team, who is responsible for solving bullying cases. Contact the school and report bullying if your child has noticed it happening.If your child is bullied on social mediaWhat to do about offensive messages?%u2022Advise your child that messages from the bully or a stranger should not be opened.%u2022It is not a good idea to respond to the bully%u2019s messages. At most, you can respond by forbidding them from sending any more messages and telling them that if there are any more messages, a criminal report will be filed.%u2022If it turns out that the sender of the offensive message is at the same school as your child, contact the school.%u2022You can also block messages from a specific sender so that your child does not have to read them.If offensive texts or pictures are published about your child%u2022Contact the website administrator. The administrator can remove the text from the network and possibly find out who wrote the text. Save all offensive content with screenshots for further action. If the bullying is particularly serious, contact the police.
