28HOW TO MAKE BULLYING STOP? You can practice responding to a bully togetherYou can practice coping with a bullying situation at home. However, it is not the responsibility of the student to stop the bullying; the responsibility always lies with the adults. However, the word STOP can be the first step in a bullying situation. It can be used to seize the harmful behavior.You can teach your child to say to a bully: %u201cStop, that is bullying%u201d or %u201cStop, that%u2019s not nice%u201d. The word STOP is used to tell others that someone does not like what is being done to them. If someone is treating others badly, anyone can use this word. If saying the word feels difficult to the child, you can practice using it together. In a bullying situation, they can make the word even more effective by leaving the scene.However, it is important to emphasize that if the bullying continues, it is necessary to tell adults about it. Remind your child that they have the right to go to school with a sense of security and that adults are responsible for ensuring that this right is fulfilled.How can a bystander help a bullied student?In addition to the students who are bullying, there are often others present in a bullying situation. Although they are not responsible for stopping the bullying, they can do a lot to reduce and prevent it.%u2022Encourage your child to take a stand to stop the bullying.
